I saw this simple but ingenius idea over at Come Together Kids a couple of weeks ago, and I knew I had to have one too! My boys can keep themselves entertained for hours with bubbles, but their fun always inevitably gets cut short when they accidentally spills their bubble containers. Enter the Bubble Refill Station...
I picked up this gallon sized beverage jar at Target the other day for $5. You could probably find them for even cheaper, but I really like that this one is plastic, so I don't have to worry about the kids accidentally knocking it over. The spout is also perfect for them - loose fitted and easy to work. We used blue dish soap when making our batch of bubbles, and it is kind of cool to be able to see at a distance when we will need a refill at the refill station!
We made a few large sized wands from some leftover copper, and Sawyer was especially intrigued with the idea that bubbles are always round, even when your bubble wand is a triangle!
The boys had their own brilliant idea of the day - they chose to use a recycled peanut butter jar to hold enough bubbles for both of them instead of those flimsy tippy little bottles. Worked like a charm!
Sit back and watch the fun (as they laugh hysterically at the monster-sized bubble they just landed on your head!)!
We're still searching for the perfect bubble recipe, so if you have a good one, please send it our way!
